The Barbera known from Northern Italy, but close by in Slovenia they also make beautiful wines from the Barbera. So is winery Sveti Martin. This Barbera is a bit reminiscent of an Amarone. Nice balance between power and a nice acidity. Bit of licorice and raisins. Ripe tannins, rich and full. Not a wine to slurp away, but to enjoy quietly.
