Chassagne Montrachet Blanc Louis Jadot 2020
With strong fruit aromas, butter notes and smokiness, it is a wonderful accompaniment to dishes based on poultry liver, fish dishes in creamy sauce, refined charcuterie and tasty preparations of white meat. And that at least for the next eight to twelve years in which mature impressions will delight the taste buds of true wine lovers.
Located in the extreme south of the Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet is one of the five prestigious names of the so-called Côte des Blancs. The white wines from here are the strongest in the area and the finest come from the north of the appellation, near the border with Puligny. For this ordinary Chassagne-Montrachet, Jadot only buys the best chardonnay from farmers with whom agreements have been made for a long time. The press juice is fermented in oak, followed by a subsequent maturation of eighteen months in barrels.
