The wine is deep ruby red in color, smells and tastes of delicious small ripe red fruit, spices, cedar wood and vanilla. A pleasant soft wine fruity wine.
The grapes come from 30 to 35 year old vines. After fermentation, the wine matures for another 9 to 12 months in oak barrels.
A delicious Bordeaux that comes into its own with a delicious piece of meat such as entrecote.

Château Carignan is located in Carignan de Bordeaux, an area ten kilometers east of the city of Bordeaux. The estate, once a gift from Charles VII to Jean Poton de Xaintrailles, has a total of 150 hectares of land, of which 65 hectares. is planted with vines.
A third of the orchards are older than forty years; the remaining sticks are between eight and twenty-five years old. They are ideally situated on the south and southwest. The main grape variety for the house, as for right bank wines Saint-Emilion and Pomerol, is the merlot. The clay-rich limestone hills in the area produce subtle, tasty, soft, round and fruity wines that will appeal to everyone.
