A complex wine with lots of minerality, aromas of yellow fruit, herbs such as mint and an exciting aftertaste. In his youth a diamond in the rough with an incredible
maturation potential.

GRAPES: Riesling

Origin: Germany, Rheingau,

The vineyard faces southwest, south and southeast. The soil contains a high percentage of quartz that retains heat from the midday sun and continues to release it during the cool nights. Quartz also provides a lot of minerality in the wine.

The grapes are harvested in early or mid-October when they are golden yellow, almost overripe and very aromatic. The slow fermentation and maturation on the yeast sediment take place in stainless steel tanks and classic large wooden barrels.

ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE : 12.00%

A gourmet wine! Delicious in its youth with crustaceans and shellfish such as mussels and crab, asparagus, salads and sea fish. After several years of ripening, also delicious with poultry and veal.

The wine is named after Jungfrau Maria, or Jungfer. This name was given to the Hallgarten vineyard by the monks of the nearby Cistercian monastery out of respect for the Virgin Mary.

Origin : Germany, Rheingau, municipality of Hallgarten.

The winery of Sabine and Fred Prinz is located in the municipality of Hallgarten, the highest part of the Rheingau. Initially their domain was one and a half hectares in size, nowadays the more than ten hectares extend over the Hallgartener Hendelberg, Jungfer and Schönhell. Ninety percent of this is planted with Riesling, the rest with Spätburgunder. The highest vineyards are composed of hard rocks such as gravel, sandstone and slate. These soils usually produce flawless and characteristically mineral Rheingau Rieslings. The sandy, loamy and calcareous lower plots produce full-bodied and powerful wines.
