    • Description

The Taylor's Late Bottled Vintage Port is one of the most famous Late Bottled Vintage Ports in the world. This port is made from grapes from a single exceptional vintage and then aged for four to six years in large oak barrels. This combines the power and intensity of a Vintage Port with the advantage of being ready to drink immediately. A rich, elegant port with great depth and an impressively long finish.

Ripe cherries, blackcurrants, dark chocolate and cocoa

This Late Bottled Vintage Port has a deep ruby red colour and an expressive bouquet of ripe cherries, blackcurrants and plums. You will also discover refined aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, figs, cedarwood, mocha and a subtle spiciness. On the palate, the port is powerful and concentrated, with ripe dark fruit, soft tannins and a long, warm finish in which liquorice and roasted notes beautifully return.

Four to six years of wood aging for optimal balance

For this Late Bottled Vintage, Taylor's exclusively uses grapes from a single vintage, originating from carefully selected vineyards in the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior. After fermentation, the wine ages for four to six years in large oak barrels. This develops extra softness and complexity, while retaining its fruity character. Unlike a classic Vintage Port, this LBV is ready to drink immediately and does not need to be decanted.

Perfect with chocolate, nuts and blue cheeses

This Late Bottled Vintage Port combines excellently with desserts based on dark chocolate, chocolate mousse and brownies. Its rich character also comes into its own with almonds, walnuts, figs and blue cheeses such as Stilton or Roquefort. In addition, it is a delicious port to enjoy neat after an extensive dinner.

      Taylor's Port

Taylor's has been one of Portugal's most prestigious port houses since 1692. The winery specialises entirely in high-quality port wines and is world-renowned for its Vintage Ports, Late Bottled Vintage Ports and aged Tawny Ports. Thanks to centuries of experience and an uncompromising focus on quality, Taylor's has been among the absolute top of the Douro for generations.

Why choose Taylor's Late Bottled Vintage Port?

This port is an excellent choice for lovers of powerful, fruity port with great depth. The combination of a single vintage, several years of wood aging, ripe dark fruit, chocolate and spicy notes makes it particularly versatile. A beautiful port for a festive dinner, a relaxed evening by the fireplace or as a stylish gift.
