Tenuta Sant'Antonio Scaia corvina 2019
The beautiful ruby, red-purple colored wine has aromas of red roses and violet and of red and black currants, plums, blackberries and raspberries. On the palate, Scaia Rossa is soft and creamy with a balanced juicy freshness and the right amount of tannins. Great to enjoy on its own or as an accompaniment to starters, pastas, risottos, grilled meats, cured sausages and cheeses.
This wine is made exclusively from corvina grapes from three to ten year old sticks on the fertile limestone and volcanic hills around Colognola ai Colli in the province of Verona. The very carefully picked bunches are destemmed, the grapes are soaked briefly and then very carefully pressed. The beautiful juice therefore already contains the best fruit acids and few bitters when the fermentation takes place. The subsequent lactic acid fermentation provides the final wine with its silky and creamy structure.
