Tenuta Sant'Antonio Valpolicella Superiore La Bandina 2019
A creamy full wine with lots of red fruit, a touch of licorice, tobacco and cedar wood.
To further improve the image of the region, the family decided to make an exemplary Valpolicella Superiore. The grapes for it are picked by hand in mid-September and laid to rest in small crates in a well-ventilated area. About 3 weeks after harvesting, a slow pressing and prolonged fermentation follows. The juice - in the ratio 70% corvina, 20% rondinella and 10% croatina and other lesser-known varieties - then goes on French oak, after which the wine rests in the bottle for another year.
