Tenuta Sant'Antonio Valpolicella Superiore La Bandina 2021
A creamy, full-bodied wine with lots of red fruit, a hint of liquorice, tobacco and cedar wood.
In order to further improve the image of the region, the family decided to make an exemplary Valpolicella Superiore. The grapes for this are picked by hand in mid-September and laid to rest in small crates in a well-ventilated room. About 3 weeks after the harvest, a slow pressing and prolonged fermentation follows. The juice - in the proportion of 70% corvina, 20% rondinella and 10% croatina and other lesser-known varieties - is then put on French oak, after which the wine rests in the bottle for another year.
