This Grand Cru has an intense nose with aromas of white peaches, sandalwood, vanilla, sweet spices and a hint of honey. Rich full wine with a beautiful balance between the acids and the residual sugars and a wonderfully long aftertaste. Full, yet subtle and elegant.

Grapes; Pinot Gris from the classified Grand Cru slopes of Altenberg. Gustave Lorentz owns this vineyard.

The soil consists of clay and limestone. The vines are very old, between 30 and 50 years old. The Altenberg is the pride of the Bergheim winegrowers and has been known for its delicious wines since the end of the 13th century.

distinguished aroma. They are gastronomic wines par excellence.

This tasty and concentrated wine goes well with terrines of foie gras, duck and sweet and sour oriental cuisine.
