    • Description

The Château Bonalgue Pomerol is a beautiful representative of one of Bordeaux's most prestigious wine regions. This characterful red wine combines the power of Merlot with the refinement of Cabernet Franc. The result is a rich, concentrated yet elegant wine with abundant dark fruit, soft tannins, and an impressive length. A classic Pomerol that already offers great drinking pleasure and will develop beautifully in the coming years.

Dark fruit, chocolate, and a velvety structure

In the glass, this Pomerol shows a deep ruby red color. The aroma is intense and seductive, with notes of blackcurrants, dark cherries, blackberries, and ripe figs. These are followed by refined hints of chocolate, mocha, cloves, a touch of leather, and graphite. The taste is rich, round, and concentrated, with a velvety structure and beautifully integrated tannins that ensure a long, elegant finish.

A historic château in the heart of Pomerol

Château Bonalgue has a rich history dating back to the French Revolution. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, the estate has been passionately managed by the Bourotte family. The vineyards are located on the characteristic clay soils of Pomerol with a gravel top layer, allowing the Merlot to fully express itself. The wine matures for eighteen months in French oak barrels, which provides extra complexity, finesse, and aging potential.

      Perfect with refined meat dishes

This Pomerol pairs excellently with grilled sirloin, roasted duck breast, game dishes, pastas with rich meat sauces, and roasted pork. Its rich character also shines beautifully with aged cheeses. For an optimal taste experience, it is advisable to decant the wine beforehand.

      Château Bonalgue

Château Bonalgue is one of Pomerol's established names and is known for wines where elegance and concentration go hand in hand. The combination of a unique terroir, careful vineyard management, and traditional vinification yields wines that perfectly reflect the classic Pomerol style: rich, velvety, and exceptionally refined.

This wine is an excellent choice for lovers of classic Bordeaux with great depth and elegance. The combination of ripe dark fruit, refined oak influences, velvety tannins, and a long finish makes it suitable for both special dinners and for further aging for many years.
