Château Carignan is located in Carignan de Bordeaux, an area ten kilometers east of the city of Bordeaux. The estate, once a gift from Charles VII to Jean Poton de Xaintrailles, has a total of 150 hectares of land, of which 65 hectares. is planted with vines.
A third of the orchards are older than forty years; the remaining sticks are between eight and twenty-five years old. They are ideally situated on the south and southwest. The main grape variety for the house, as for right bank wines Saint-Emilion and Pomerol, is the merlot.
