This wine enchants with its unique character and sublime taste. A climate of warm, dry summers and mild winters, nourished by a clay soil with a layer of gravel, produces an excellent blend of merlot (90%) and cabernet franc (10%). Aging in French oak barrels for 18 months, this wine reveals a wealth of aromas: blackcurrant, dark cherry, fig, and a hint of clove and leather. The velvety texture with well-integrated tannins offers an unforgettable taste experience. Perfect to combine with grilled sirloin steak, game birds, pasta with rich meat sauces, roast duck breast, mushrooms and roast pork.

info about winery:

Château Bonalgue, a majestic estate in Pomerol, is the result of many generations of dedicated work. This enchanting place exudes a rich history, with even an army captain of Napoleon once keeping his weapons here. Legendary are 'the stones of Bonalgue', which have produced fertile grapes for the characteristic rich Pomerol wines since the French Revolution. Although the techniques have been modernized over the centuries, the timeless atmosphere remains unchanged. Since 1926, the Bourotte family has cherished this land and created wines of unprecedented class with a touch of elegance and a unique personality. Naturally, the grape of Pomerol is used: merlot, which thrives on the characteristic clay soil, resulting in the aromatic and silky red wines that make this region so famous.
