This Grand Cru has an intense nose with aromas of white peaches, sandalwood, vanilla, sweet spices and a hint of honey. Rich, full-bodied wine with a beautiful balance between the acids and residual sugars and a wonderfully long aftertaste. Full yet subtle and elegant.

Grapes; Pinot Gris from the classified Grand Cru slopes of Altenberg. Gustave Lorentz owns this vineyard.

The soil consists of clay and limestone. The vines are very old, between 30 and 50 years old. The Altenberg is the pride of Bergheim winegrowers and has been known for its delicious wines since the end of the 13th century.
Altenberg Grand Cru wines stand out for the perfect balance between their subtle,
distinguished aroma. They are gastronomic wines par excellence.

This tasty and concentrated wine goes well with terrines of foie gras, duck and sweet and sour oriental cuisine.

Origin: France Alsace, Bergheim. The grapes come from the oldest vineyards of the domain (30 to 50 years old). The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed whole and undergo a very slow fermentation.

Wine 2) Gustave Lorentz Pinot Gris Bio Grand Cru Kanzlerberg 2011

This Grand Cru has an intense nose with aromas of citrus fruits, vanilla, marzipan and almond paste. Dense and intense with a richness brought by the wood tones. A wine full of character with a delicious wooden and spicy aftertaste.

Grapes; Pinot Gris from the classified Grand Cru slopes of Kanzlerberg. Gustave Lorentz is the sole producer of Pinot Gris grand Cru Kanzlerberg.

The soil consists of clay and limestone, but also gray and black limestone. This is an alternation of limestone, marl and evaporite layers, which is very rare in the Alsace region. In combination with the fairly steep slope, facing south and southwest, this Kanzlerberg creates a unique taste.

This enjoyable and concentrated wine goes well with refined dishes, foie gras, hard cheese, game in sauce and any recipe with mushrooms.

The storage potential of these wines is very attractive and can be kept for more than 30-50 years.
